Opium wars Imperialism of China
The "opium wars" was between Great Britain and China. The Chinese went to war with the Britain's because they would not stop sending opium to china. The people of china became addicted to the drug and pretty much was there downfall. Britain was making a fortune off of china because of this addicting drug. The chinese demanded that they stop sending opium to their country and they refused to stop because of the money. So, China stopped trading tea too Great Britain and went to war with them. Film Lesson: Mountains Of The Moon
The film: Mountains of the moon was about two explorers named John Speke and Richard Bucton. These two men were in the royal geographic society. They both went on a 6 month trip into africa to discover the source of the nile river. In about 6 months and 20 days they found it and named it after their queen and was called Lake Victoria. This was quite weird at first because most explorers name there discoveries after themselves or a loved one.

Karl Marx's and communism
karl Marx's was a communist. He preffered that the wealth people got richer rather then the poor people get any money to feed themselves. He liked to see the wealth people get richer and prosper even more and see the middle class suffer and die of starvation. In my opinion Karl Marx's is evil for not helping the people who need the most help during the industrial revolution. To me he obviously supported the fact that children under the age of 10 HAD! to work in these big factories.

Karl Marxs & industrial revolution
The industrial Revolution made a great difference in the world. The industrial revolution had made children who's ages were as little at 5-6 years old. This revolution brought many factories and pollution. How ever there was a benefit from the industrIAL revolution. The benefit was that many new goods were imported and exported so a lot of money was gained during this time. Karl Marx's was a communist.

Nationalism and the Creation of Italy
Nationalism can be expressed by a majority of things. For instance culture, language and religion are some ways u can express nationalism. In my country we have our own language which is English. We have our history of past wars won, wars lost etc. We have our own land and are independent from any one else. We have our own military and our own weapons and our own set of laws. These are some of the main things that give us the ability to say that we live in a Nationalist Country. Italians earned the ability to say they live in a nationalist country because decade's after decade's they fought for their own independent country. They eventually prevailed and became their own with their own customs, their own currency etc. The Italians fought with there lives at steak and knew that they had their freedom and lives to loose but they still fought because they were tired of being ruled over by the spanish and their ruler, Napoleon.

Simon Bolivar and the Latin American Revolution
Simon Bolivar was known as a hero for his brave idea and provincial influence on the Latin Americans. He like most of the other Latin's were tired of being ruled by the Spanish and they wanted democracy and independence from Spain. Simon Bolivar led his troops when numbered in the thousands to northern part of south America to reclaim it from the Spanish. He wanted his fellow Latin's to free of Spanish rule not only because they were treated extremely unfair by the Spanish but also because they were tired of not having any free speech, so they rebelled and demanded freedom.

John Locke and The Enlightenment
John Locke was a very big enlightenment thinker. He inspired many people to follow him because of his thoughts. John was probably the most famous Enlightenment thinker. His ideas heavily influenced Thomas Jefferson when he wrote the U.S Constitution. John Locke influenced many people including modern democracy. If it wasn't for John Locke the french would have probably not been given fair rights until maybe a decade later. He is the most idolized enlightenment thinker.

Scientific Revolution: Heliocentrism and Geocentric
The Geocentric theory expressed that the Earth was in the center of the universe. It also states that the sun is not in the center of the universe, and that it revolves around the earth. This like the first theory is wrong. The earth is not in the center of the universe and the sun never moves from its position in space. The earth revolves around the sun and the moon thus giving us a night and day time. This revolving cannot be controlled by man it is done and done only my earths gravitational pull along the sun's and moons atmosphere.
The Geocentric theory of the sun is extremely similar to that of the Heliocentric theory. The only difference is that, in the heliocentric theory the sun is in the center of the universe and spins in place while all the other planets revolve around it.

Scientific Revolution: The Scientific Method
The scientific method in an idea a group of scientist came up. The scientific revolution became a new way of thinking to all scientist. It became the era in which many people/scientist had many ideas, many theory's. For some even, they even had a new crazy theory about a new way of life. For instance aristotle's theory was that heavier objects feel faster then lighter objects. For that to be proven correct took a couple of years.

Evolution Vs. Creation
Evolution was the point in time in which monkeys evolved into "man" today. It was the period of time that always made people wonder and think, did "man" come from god or did "man come from monkey? Many people were "stumped" by this theory. Others chose not to believe in it for that God is the true creator of "man". Some states in the west made it illegal to discuss and or teach about Darwin's theory of evolution and creation.
Creation states that man was simply a creation of god. Many people believe in Creation over Evolution because of the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible. The main people who believe in Evolution of Creation are mainly scientist or people who have a logic type of view to how man came about on earth.
