Nationalism and the Creation of Italy

Nationalism can be expressed by a majority of things. For instance culture, language and religion are some ways u can express nationalism. In my country we have our own language which is English. We have our history of past wars won, wars lost etc. We have our own land and are independent from any one else. We have our own military and our own weapons and our own set of laws. These are some of the main things that give us the ability to say that we live in a Nationalist Country. Italians earned the ability to say they live in a nationalist country because decade's after decade's they fought for their own independent country. They eventually prevailed and became their own with their own customs, their own currency etc. The Italians fought with there lives at steak and knew that they had their freedom and lives to loose but they still fought because they were tired of being ruled over by the spanish and their ruler, Napoleon.

Simon Bolivar and the Latin American Revolution

Simon Bolivar was known as a hero for his brave idea and provincial influence on the Latin Americans. He like most of the other Latin's were tired of being ruled by the Spanish and they wanted democracy and independence from Spain. Simon Bolivar led his troops when numbered in the thousands to northern part of south America to reclaim it from the Spanish. He wanted his fellow Latin's to free of Spanish rule not only because they were treated extremely unfair by the Spanish but also because they were tired of not having any free speech, so they rebelled and demanded freedom.

John Locke and The Enlightenment

John Locke was a very big enlightenment thinker. He inspired many people to follow him because of his thoughts. John was probably the most famous Enlightenment thinker. His ideas heavily influenced Thomas Jefferson when he wrote the U.S Constitution. John Locke influenced many people including modern democracy. If it wasn't for John Locke the french would have probably not been given fair rights until maybe a decade later. He is the most idolized enlightenment thinker.
